Egypt Visit Program – Cairo 4 Days

Day 1 — Istanbul → Cairo

We meet at Istanbul Airport International Terminal and, after baggage drop-off and passport procedures, depart for Cairo, the ancient capital of Egypt. Upon arrival at Cairo Airport, we board our private coach and begin our spiritual and historical journey through the city.

Our first stop is the magnificent Mosque of Sultan Qaitbay, adorned with refined Mamluk stone craftsmanship. Built in the 15th century by Sultan Qaitbay, this elegant structure is considered one of the finest examples of Islamic architecture with its beautifully carved geometric dome decorations.

We then visit Sayyida Nafisa (r.a.), one of the most respected ladies of the Ahl al-Bayt. A descendant of Hasan (r.a.), she was renowned for her knowledge, piety, and spiritual excellence. Many great scholars of her time, including Imam al-Shafi‘i, deeply respected her.

Continuing our journey, we visit the historic cemeteries of Cairo where many great Islamic figures are buried. We visit the mausoleum of Imam al-Shafi‘i, founder of one of the four major schools of Islamic jurisprudence and one of the greatest scholars in Islamic history.

Next, we visit Uqba ibn Amir al-Juhani (r.a.), one of the Companions of the Prophet ﷺ who played a major role in the conquest of Egypt. We also visit Amr ibn al-As (r.a.), the conqueror and first governor of Egypt, followed by the graves of Hasan ibn Thabit (r.a.) and Umar al-Ansari (r.a.).

Our spiritual visits continue with the shrine of Rabia al-Adawiyya (r.a.), one of the most important female figures in Islamic spirituality and asceticism. We also visit the tombs of important Islamic scholars and members of the Ahl al-Bayt.

After this deeply spiritual day, we transfer to our hotel for dinner and rest.

Day 2 — Cairo: Citadel Area & Historic Center

After breakfast at the hotel, we begin exploring Cairo’s rich historical heritage.

Our first stop is the Mosque of Ahmad Ibn Tulun, one of the oldest and most original examples of Islamic architecture. This magnificent structure is renowned for its vast courtyard, spiral minaret, and elegant Abbasid architectural style.

We then proceed to the monumental Citadel of Salah al-Din al-Ayyubi, one of Cairo’s most iconic landmarks. For centuries, it served as the administrative center of Egypt.

Within the citadel complex, we visit:

• Muhammad Ali Pasha Mosque

• Mosque of Sultan al-Nasir Muhammad

• Al-Gawhara Palace

• Joseph’s Well

From the top of the citadel, we enjoy panoramic views of Cairo’s breathtaking skyline.

Near the citadel, we visit the tomb of the great scholar and commentator Jalal al-Din al-Suyuti, who authored hundreds of works in hadith, tafsir, and Islamic sciences.

Descending from the citadel, we explore the Qalawun Complex, one of the finest examples of Mamluk architecture.

We continue to the historic Khan el-Khalili Bazaar and walk along the famous Al-Muizz Street, discovering Cairo’s historic monuments and traditional atmosphere.

One of the most meaningful moments of the day is our visit to the Al-Hussein Mosque, named after Imam Hussein (r.a.), the grandson of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and one of the most revered places in Egypt.

After the visits, we return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3 — Cairo: Giza, Museum & Nile Cruise

🏨 Accommodation: Cairo

After breakfast, we depart for Giza to witness some of the world’s most iconic monuments.

We visit the legendary Pyramids of Giza, the only surviving wonder of the ancient world. The pyramids of Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure remain among humanity’s most extraordinary architectural achievements.

Following the pyramids, we explore the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization, home to thousands of artifacts from Egypt’s ancient heritage.

We then visit the historic Amr ibn al-As Mosque, the first mosque built on the African continent.

Afterward, we visit a traditional papyrus workshop, where we learn about ancient Egyptian papyrus-making techniques and examine handcrafted artworks.

One of the most peaceful moments of the tour is our traditional felucca boat ride on the Nile River. As we glide along the calm waters of the world’s longest river during sunset, we admire Cairo’s illuminated skyline — one of the unforgettable highlights of the journey.

Following the cruise, we return to the hotel for dinner and rest.

Day 4 — Cairo → Fayoum → Cairo

🚌 Total Transfer: ~210 km

After breakfast, we head toward Fayoum, one of Egypt’s oldest inhabited regions. This unique landscape, where desert and greenery meet, became one of Egypt’s most fertile agricultural regions after the Islamic conquests.

Our first stop is a traditional pottery workshop, where ancient ceramic techniques are still preserved and passed down through generations.

We then continue to Lake Qarun, one of the most beautiful natural landmarks of the Fayoum Oasis. Surrounded by palm groves and golden desert dunes, the lake offers stunning scenery.

Next, we visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Wadi El-Hitan (Whale Valley), considered one of the world’s most important paleontological areas. Famous for its fossilized whale skeletons, this extraordinary open-air museum reveals millions of years of Earth’s geological history.

After completing our visits, we head to a restaurant for dinner before transferring to Cairo Airport for our return flight to Istanbul.
