India Spiritual Heritage Tour Program

Day 1 — Istanbul → Delhi → Chandigarh

We meet at the International Departures Terminal of Istanbul Airport. After passport and baggage procedures, we depart for Delhi. Upon our early morning arrival at Delhi Airport, we board our private coach waiting for us.

After enjoying breakfast at a hotel near the airport, we begin our journey toward Chandigarh, one of the historic cities of northern India. Throughout the journey, enriched by our guide’s narration, India’s vast plains and colorful rural life accompany us. We also have opportunities to rest at various stops along the route.

Near Chandigarh, we arrive at Baras Village located on our route. Here, we visit the Shrine of the Nine Prophets and then visit Hazrat Abdülehad, the father of Imam Rabbani Ahmad Faruqi Sirhindi (q.s.), the 23rd link and 4th spiritual pole of our Golden Chain (Silsila-i Sadat).

After these first spiritual visits in the lands of Sirhind, we continue to our hotel in Chandigarh for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2 — Chandigarh → Sirhind → Delhi

After breakfast at the hotel, we depart for the city of Sirhind. Sirhind has been one of the most important centers of Islamic history and has hosted scholars and spiritual masters for centuries.

Our first visit is to Imam Rabbani Ahmad Faruqi Sirhindi (q.s.), the 23rd link and 4th spiritual pole of our Golden Chain. Born in Sirhind in 1564 CE, Imam Rabbani is known as the “Mujaddid Alf-i Thani” (Renewer of the Second Millennium) and is considered one of the greatest figures in Islamic spirituality. In his blessed presence, we experience a deeply spiritual atmosphere.

We then visit:

• Hazrat Sheikh Muhammad Ma’sum (q.s.), the 24th link of the chain

• Hazrat Sheikh Seyfuddin Arif (q.s.), the 25th link of the chain

Following our visits in Sirhind, we return to Delhi for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3 — Delhi

After breakfast, we begin our spiritual visits in Delhi.

Our first stop is the shrine of Hazrat Khwaja Muhammad Baqi Billah (q.s.), the 22nd link of the Golden Chain. Originally from Kabul, he migrated to India and settled in Delhi, where he introduced the Naqshbandi path to India and became the spiritual guide of Imam Rabbani.

We then visit Jama Masjid, one of the greatest masterpieces of Mughal architecture. Built by Shah Jahan in the 17th century, this magnificent mosque was constructed by more than five thousand craftsmen and remains one of India’s most important mosques.

We continue to Turkman Gate, a historical gate from the Delhi Sultanate era symbolizing the Turkish-Islamic heritage of the region.

Nearby, we visit the Abul Khair Dargah, where we pay respects to:

• Hazrat Sheikh Shamsuddin Habibullah (q.s.)

• Hazrat Sheikh Abdullah Dehlawi (q.s.)

• Hazrat Sheikh Hafiz Abu Saeed Sahib (q.s.)

We also visit Hazrat Sheikh Muhammad Nur al-Badwani (q.s.), the 26th link of the chain.

After our visits, we return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4 — Delhi City Tour

After breakfast, we continue exploring Delhi’s rich historical and cultural heritage.

Our first stop is Qutb Minar, one of the greatest Turkish-Islamic monuments in India. Construction began in the late 12th century by Qutb al-Din Aibak, founder of the Delhi Sultanate. Standing at 73 meters, it is considered the tallest brick minaret in the world and is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

We then visit Humayun’s Tomb, one of the most elegant examples of Mughal architecture and regarded as the inspiration behind the Taj Mahal.

Next, we explore Lodhi Gardens, a peaceful park filled with tombs and mosques from the Lodhi and Sayyid dynasties.

We continue with panoramic views of:

• India Gate

• Rashtrapati Bhavan (Presidential Palace)

• Parliament House

We conclude the day with free time for shopping at Connaught Place before returning to the hotel.

Day 5 — Delhi → Fatehpur Sikri → Agra

After breakfast, we depart for Agra. Along the way, we stop at Fatehpur Sikri, a UNESCO World Heritage Site built as the Mughal capital during the 16th century.

We explore:

• Panch Mahal

• Jama Masjid Fatehpur Sikri

We also visit the shrine of Salim Chishti Tomb, famous for its exquisite white marble craftsmanship.

Afterward, we continue to Agra and visit the shrine of Mir Muhammad Nu’man Hazrat, a devoted follower and servant of Imam Rabbani.

Dinner and overnight stay in Agra.

Day 6 — Agra → Gwalior → Agra

After breakfast, we depart for Gwalior.

Upon arrival, we visit Gwalior Fort, one of India’s most powerful defensive fortresses dating back to the 6th century. The fort carries many memories associated with Imam Rabbani.

Following our visit, we return to Agra for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7 — Agra → Delhi

After breakfast, we visit the world-famous Taj Mahal, one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal, this architectural masterpiece is considered one of the greatest monuments of love ever created.

We then explore Agra Fort, the magnificent red sandstone fortress that served as the main residence of the Mughal emperors.

After our Agra visits, we return to Delhi. Free time is provided for shopping before dinner at a local restaurant. Later, we transfer to Delhi Airport for our return flight to Istanbul.

Day 8 — Delhi → Istanbul

In the early morning hours, we depart from Delhi for Istanbul. Upon arrival in Istanbul, we conclude this unforgettable spiritual and cultural journey through the historic lands of India.
